Pink Sauce pasta

Ingredients

300g spaghetti

30g unsalted butter

3 garlic cloves, minced

½ onion, finely chopped

1 cup tomato passata

3/4 cup thickened cream

1/2 cup milk

3/4 cup parmesan,

1 tsp dried basil

1 tsp chicken or vegetable stock powder





Method

  1. Cook pasta in a big pot of boiling water for time per packet

  2. Just before draining, scoop out a cup of pasta cooking water.

  3. Melt butter in a large pot over medium heat. Add garlic and onion cook until golden

  4. Add remaining ingredients. Stir until parmesan is melted, season with alt

  5. Add pasta and pasta water

Note

Can be served with a couple of cherry tomatoes and fresh basil leaves
