Apple Crumble

Serving size:10

Ingredients:

5 large Apples

2 tbsp lemon juice

3 tbsp Caster sugar

½ cup water

1tsp Cinnamon

1tsp Nutmeg

1 tsp Allspice

Crumble:

1/3 cups Plain Flour

1/3 cup Caster Sugar

1/3 cup Rolled Oats

60g Butter Chopped



Method:

  1. Peel, core and dice all apple and place in a saucepan add all other ingredients and cook until just tender. Then place in a baking dish

  2. In a separate bowl add the flour and diced butter and rub together until combined

  3. Add other ingredients to the bowl mix together and layer on top of the apples

  4. Cook in over at 180 °C until golden brown

Notes:

  • Apples should still have a dense centre when removed from saucepan in the first step

  • Can be served with ice-cream or whipped cream
